THE to Organise 2011 Treasure Hunt

Theory of Excellence(THE) will be organising the second car based rally style treasure hunt to raise funds for Charity. Participants will drive round the Pattaya area visiting different venues on a secret route donating to local charities or performing fun activities.

A car rally type treasure hunt will be organised by the Theory of Human Excellence (THE) on the 30th January 2011. All money raised will fund the shipment of special education equipment from England for the Sunganseuhsa Piset Ket 12 day-care centre for autistic children based in Sattahip, just outside Pattaya. Competing cars will drive to several different venues (pit stops) in the Pattaya area.  Contestants will have to complete an activity at each "pit stop" in a similar style to the Amazing Race TV show with the theme of giving & nature. They will then receive directions for the next stage of the rally. A fantastic buffet will be provided at the end for all participants and prizes will be awarded to the winning contestants.  There will also be a lucky draw, auctions and family entertainment.

This is the second year the event has been staged and again the theme is “Giving Naturally”. The last year participants visited the Pattaya Orphanage to give food; the Farther Ray foundation farm to donate a tree; and the Redemptionist Vocational School for the disabled to provide new tools. Several other venues such as Horse Shoe Point and Pan Pan were visited. All families enjoyed an action packed day participating in natural and fun activities whilst also getting their own chance to “give”.  The event finished at the Centara where a great buffet was provided for all.

This year participants will once again have to collect treasure on their journey up to the value of about 500 baht to be given away to needy causes. Each car will be charged an entry fee of 1,000 Baht irrespective of the number of passengers. This will make the total cost for the day about 1,500 baht per car for all participants. It is hoped that the complete costs of staging the event will be covered by sponsoring companies and local organisations, including prizes and the costs for the BBQ.

Sponsors confirmed to date: Theory of Excellence, First Step Construction, Horse Shoe Point, MAS, Pan Pan, Windsor, Isuzu, and Centara
