How to Attain Excellence with THE

Image001

An introduction of how the Theory of Human Excellence (THE), which provides the foundation for achieving excellence at both the individual and collective level.

Many people have different ideas on excellence. Likewise, organisations have varied views of success. Companies may target market share, return on investment, earnings growth, profit or shareholder value. There is however a growing culture within business of having a valid purpose that delivers a quality service whilst having a positive effect on the environment. Whatever type of excellence is pursued, the results are dependent upon the way the employees function, whether as individuals or within a team and this is totally dependent on the human brain.

Neuroscience has learnt more about cognition in the last 5 years than in the previous 5,000. It has revealed key aspects to the way humans learn, develop new skills, make decisions and ultimately reward themselves for what is deemed as excellence. These new discoveries are revolutionary and have a dramatic impact on performance in all areas. Many of these new findings have been applied within the core principles and philosophy of the Theory of Human Excellence (THE).

Boosting cognitive performance provides the foundation for achieving excellence at both the collective and individual level. This is achieved by applying THE’s taxonomy of excellence, which has four tiers. The first tier is Natural Excellence which is based upon applying a helix of innovation. This is the highest level of adaptation which can be applied to all aspects of growth and development including business. It encompasses the principles and framework to develop a strategy to achieve purpose and deliver the vision.

Human Excellence is the second tier that uses a cognitive framework that defines the dynamics of human thought, plus all the parameters or influences that affect the brain’s performance. This framework facilitates skills such as accelerated learning and ensuring that the correct state of mind is used to deliver the required performance and achieve excellence. The framework ensures that the critical components are adopted to deliver  exceptional performance or become the best that can possibly be achieved in any chosen pursuit.

The next level is the Behaviour Map that categories types of cognitive thought and delivers a map for recognising the appropriate decision making process. Incorporated within this tier is a Code of Collaboration that provides the key principles and guidance for positive human interaction and promoting strong team-work and collaboration.

The last tier within THE taxonomy is Process Optimisation that provides a set of attributes that are used to describe and measure a process. This profile can be used to define the ‘as is’ situation together with the desired ‘to be’ improvement. Actions can then be devised to steer the change process to deploy the improvements taking into consideration the effect on the employees involved.

The Theory of Excellence taxonomy ensures that all the necessary elements to achieve organisational, team, individual, or process excellence are identified, understood and deployed. From the very top level of purpose down to the very detailed level of the attributes and characteristics of a particular task are incorporated providing a complete set of principles. Applying THE principles within each tier ensures that the natural aspects and strengths of humans are capitalised upon so that improvement programs can be undertaken and excellence is achieved.

The Theory of Human Excellence (THE) is a revolutionary new way of looking at behaviour. It is founded upon the very latest neuro research covering how the brain learns, grows and formulates decisions. For more info go to http://www.theoryofexcellence.org or email info@theoryofexcellence.org
